7 Days Aberdares - Samburu - Nakuru - Mara

Day 1:

In the morning, have a short safari briefing with your expert safari guide/driver, then start for Aberdare National Park .

Lunch will be at the Aberdare Country Club or similar. Later, transfer to the Ark lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

Proceed further north to Samburu game reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Have afternoon game drive, spotting for the beisa oryx, the Somali ostrich and the leopard.

Dinner and overnight at the Samburu serena Lodge or similar.

Day 3:

Full day game drive in the reserve, with dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena lodge or similar.

Day 4:

Depart Samburu for Thompson's falls on the Ewaso Narok River . It falls 72 m, the mist feeding the dense forest below. You can check out the falls from above.

Have lunch enroute and head for Lake Nakuru National Park , for an afternoon game drive. Watch the shifting masses of pink, of the millions of flamingos that dot the lake, as well as other numerous species of birds.

Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge or similar.

Day 5:

Depart after breakfast and drive to Masai Mara, lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge and afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa lodge or similar.

Day 6:

Full day game drive in the park. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is widely considered to be Africa 's greatest wildlife reserve.

The prime interest for most visitors to this area, obviously, is to see wildlife. The sheer volume and variety of the Mara will certainly not disappoint. All meals at Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 7:

Depart and drive through the park to Nairobi arrive in the afternoon. Visit the Indian restaurant of haveli's for a farewell dinner before your departure.
